Week of November 12th-16th

Curriculum News

During our first week of exploring the many different kinds of bridges, we have hopefully gained a new perspective on bridges and their importance in our lives.  This next week will give us the opportunity to look in greater detail at how the three main types of bridges are built and look at several examples from around the world.  This study of bridges will allow us to continue further with this topic as we look at stories that surround some of the world’s most famous bridges.

As we continue to explore the 7 continents, we will get the opportunity to learn about the fascinating continent of Asia.  During our study of Asia, we will turn our attention to the amazing country of China and learn a bit more about its history and culture.  Students always enjoy getting the opportunity to learn about different places found around the globe!

Another exciting bit of information for this upcoming week is that students will be starting to learn some of the lower case letters in cursive!  Students are always excited to learn this skill!  It will take a lot of time and practice to cover all of the lower and upper case letters, but I am sure that they will do very well with this very important skill!!!
